The JCCV Film Night crew is proud to announce the Victoria premiere of the Academy Award nominated movie “Twin Sisters”. Original Release: 2002 The Netherlands. Director: Ben Sombogaard. From the Novel by Tessa de Loo. This thoughtful film accentuates “the Grey” of wartime tales.
Anna and Lotte are twin sisters tragically separated when their father dies unexpectedly. Anna is taken in by a poor rural German family and looks to a better future through the promise of National Socialism. Lotte is adopted by a well-off Dutch family and is engaged to a Jewish musician. Their lives follow different and opposite paths. Attempts at contact are thwarted by their families.
Will there be a reunion/reconciliation? Is there too much water under the bridge?
