Live & Learn Series: “Is There Anything Computers Can’t Do?”

Thursday, October 15th | 2:00pm at the JCCV
Nearly every part of modern life involves computers in some way. Technology is constantly changing and new developments (such as generative AI) have computers doing things that would have been unbelievable even a few years ago. How far can this go? Is there anything computers can’t do? Surprisingly, the answer is “yes”! This presentation will describe how mathematicians reason about computers and how we know that some problems can never be solved by a computer, no matter how powerful the technology becomes.

Survivors (A Play Directed by Zelda Dean)

The audience is both uplifted by the survivors’ triumphs and inspired to take action against present and future racism and hate.
